There’s hatred everywhere I look We haven’t got a prayer They’re killing children in the schools They’re killing everywhere Neighbor hating neighbor Nations armed for war Every day seems a little bit worse Than the day before Hurry Back Jesus Cause things aren’t going so well You said you’d be back again And we know you will But if we can last ’til then Ain’t no one can tell Hurry Back Jesus The world is going to Hell Lawlessness everywhere Men do as they please Poisoning the oceans And the very air we breath The truth has been forgotten With the lessons of the past People greedy everywhere For things that never last Hurry Back Jesus Cause things aren’t going so well You said you’d be back again And we know you will But if we can last ’til then Ain’t no one can tell Hurry Back Jesus The world is going to Hell Famine, war and hopelessness Beggars plead for alms The hungry dying every day While the world keeps building bombs Corruption, graft and bribery Favors bought and sold While the meek, the poor and helpless Get left out in the cold Hurry Back Jesus Cause things aren’t going so well You said you’d be back again And we know you will But if we can last ’til then Ain’t no one can tell Hurry Back Jesus The world is going to Hell

I voted for Donald J. Trump Cause he is smarter than us But I’m smarter than you And the Democrats too And by god that’s good enough He’s gonna build us a wall That’s a hundred and fifty feet tall To keep bad hombres out Of that there’s no doubt He’s gonna build us a wall I’m waiting to catch the Trump Train I’ve been standing outside in the rain For the last couple days Cause it’s passing this way I’m waiting to catch the Trump Train I voted for Donald J. Trump Cause he’s got a very good brain He’s too modest to show it So you might not have noticed But he’s got a very good brain I voted for Donald J. Trump Cause he puts folk back in their place He doesn’t take nothin’ Who cares about Russians I voted for Donald J. Trump I voted for Donald J. Trump Cause he’ll get us over the hump And Make America Hate Those who stand in our way I voted for Donald J. Trump

Is it through your own virtue or the luck of the draw That you ended up where you are on the right side of the law There’s a greater law than man’s in Heaven high above ''Follow the law" is what you say, what about the law of love? She came into this country Like many have before Some came through the window Some came through the door Some came fleeing poverty Some came fleeing strife All of them came looking For a better way of life Is it really a crime or the luck of the draw That put her in a church today hounded by the law There’s a greater law than man’s in Heaven high above If ‘follow the law’ is what you say, what about the law of love? We all came here from someplace Somewhere back in time Some came here legally Some came on the sly It all got mixed up long ago In that big old melting pot I guess that’s ancient history That some of us forgot Is it through your own virtue or the luck of the draw That it’s her instead of you today hounded by the law There’s a greater law than man’s in Heaven high above If ‘follow the law’ is what you say, what about the law of love? If ‘follow the law’ is what you say, what about the law of love?

There's a howling wind There's a storm outside There's a knocking on the door "Please let me in" a voice does cry From a far off foreign shore I hear the small voice of a child Pleading once more "Please let me in" The poor child cries But no one answers the door Won’t you spare his life, sweet Jesus But if it’s not your plan for him He’ll be knocking on Heaven’s door tonight Won’t you please let him in In a barrio In a border town 80 passengers are squeezed Into the back of a tractor-trailer Along with Maria Ruiz Well, the Border Patrol Saved most of them But there among the deceased They find Maria with her fingers Still clutching her rosary beads Won’t you hear her prayers, sweet Jesus For she’s left this world of sin She’ll be knocking on Heaven’s door tonight Won’t you please let her in

The old dog is howling at the moon just like he knew Old friends of mine ask me if it's true 'Cause nothing travels faster than bad news And it seems like everybody's crying over you The sky has eyes and just like yours they're blue The trees have ears when the wind whistles through And the grass can't hide the early morning dew It seems like everybody's crying over you As days elapsed my grief had passed or so it seems But love and grief play tricks on me At odd moments when I see An old dog howling at the moon just like he knew Or a couple holding hands like we used to do You're gone five years and I bet you never knew That everybody's crying over you Yes everybody's crying over you And the old dog's still howling at the moon

Hearts Ache 02:43
Hearts ache When hearts break Leaves you wondering just how much A heart can take They say Someday No matter who you are Your heart will break

Come over here Honey let’s talk awhile I knew right away when I saw you smile You’re a little bit crazy and I’m a little bit wild The night is young its a quarter to ten What do you think could we be friends Not tonite? Just tell me when There’s only one thing I need to know Am I going too fast or a little too slow You look like you might need to unwind I’ve got the money if you’ve got the time Hey bartender two more drinks I believe our Chakras are in sync And this is not the time to overthink There’s a beautiful moon outside tonite Would I like to what? Well I just might Why don’t you slide over here and hold me tight There’s only one thing I need to know Am I going too fast or a little too slow You look like you might need to unwind I’ve got the money if you’ve got the time

Cherokee Joe 03:09
Nobody knew what his real name was He had a tattoo on his arm of a mourning dove He hung around places where tourists go Everybody called him Cherokee Joe They’d drop their tips into a hardshell case While Cherokee Joe sang ‘Amazing Grace’ He’d work the street in the heat of the day He’d end each gig singing ‘Ira Hayes’ Cherokee Joe, Cherokee Joe Where did you come from? Where did you go? He came with the sun And left with the snow I’ll never forget Cherokee Joe I was 14 getting nowhere fast in school In a great big hurry to break all the rules I saw him on the corner one day when I was bored He showed me his guitar and a couple of chords So I bought a guitar - I was just acting out - With the money I earned on a paper route When I showed it to him all he had to say Was Good Luck kid, now go learn to play On the day I learned to play my very first song I went looking for him but they said he was gone All that was left was the sun in the sky He left nothing behind not even goodbye We never met again but I learned how to play I learned it’s easy to just walk away I learned how to laugh and I learned how to cry But I never learned how to say goodbye

It’s 3 o’clock in the morning The radio’s turned down The dog cocked its ear and growled When he heard the cat meow The refrigerator’s humming But the phone hasn’t made a sound I guess she’s not gonna call tonight Or she would have called by now It’s 3 0’clock in the morning I can hear a car go by The wind rattled the windowpane And the radio just died The refrigerator’s humming But the phone hasn’t made a sound I guess she’s not gonna call tonight Or she would have called by now I need to hear her tell me why She hasn’t called or come around But silence is running deep tonight And faster than the speed of sound It’s 3 o’clock in the morning The radio’s turned down The dog cocked its ear and growled When he heard the cat meow The refrigerator’s humming But the phone hasn’t made a sound I guess she’s not gonna call tonight Or she would have called by now

There’s bats up in my head Whenever I go to bed I close my eyes and chase ‘em with a broom But I don’t really care I’d rather see ‘em there Than bouncin’ off the walls in the living room Some people think I’m nuts No ifs and ands or buts They’d like to lock me in a padded room And one of these days They just might get their way But when I go I’ll be howling at the moon There’s a place down by the beach I visit every week Where you’d think nobody ever had a care And if you had a clue You’d wanna go there too Cause you’d never have to leave your rockin’ chair Some people think I’m nuts No ifs and ands or buts They’d like to lock me in a padded room And one of these days They just might get their way But when I go I’ll be howling at the moon

The Flag’s flying at the courthouse A symbol of unity As the country tears itself apart From Sea to Shining Sea We’re putting kids in cages Half the country’s up in arms The other half shrugs it off All they say is “What’s the harm?” There’s a Man riding on a Pale Horse He says he’ll make America great He’s either your hero or villain In these Divided States It’s the Fourth of July once again And fireworks are flying They’re drowning out the sounds Of a thousand children crying Protesters marching in the streets All across the land While the President is on his cellphone And he’s tweeting again He’s the Man riding on a Pale Horse He says he’ll make America great He’s either your hero or villain In these Divided States
